At Steel Studio we’re proud to announce that we will be responsible for the manufacture and installation of the stainless steel and glass balustrades on the Rwandan Social Security Board headquarters. The building is located in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, a city well known for being the economic, cultural, and transportation hub of Rwanda since it became the capital,when independence was achieved in 1962. Kigali is also home to the main residence and offices of Paul Kagame, the president of Rwanda. “Expanding our footprint through Africa is one of our main goals and the Rwandan Social Security Board headquarters is a big achievement for us. We sent a dedicated team of highly skilled professionals all the way to the building site to ensure the highest level of workmanship possible.” The architects for the project are DNA Design Associates. DNA Design Associates create memorable, brand-rich experiences for retail, corporate and public spaces. The well renowned team were responsible for the design and build of the interiors fit out for the RSSB headquarters building. It has been a great pleasure working with them on the project. The balustrade value for the project is R2.5 million and it covers 11 floors of the building as well as the basement clinic. The Rwandan Social Security Board is an organisation which was established by the Rwandan government in 2009 to contribute towards the socio-economic transformation in the country. The board was founded when the President of the Republic, Paul Kagame approved the merging of all social security institutions into one financial institution, namely the Rwanda Social Security Board. The Rwandan Social Security Board’s vision is to provide high quality social security services, ensure efficient collection, benefits provision, management and investment of member’s funds. “Adding our stainless steel and glass balustrades to this building is an honour for us at Steel Studio. By installing a visually pleasing, yet safe barrier to the interior of the building, we’re ensuring that the building offers no risks to users while adding to the overall, eye catching design of the structure.” Concludes Rob.
