How we do it
One of our team of qualified sales consultants will meet with you onsite to establish your custom staircase requirements. The site measurements and design ideas will then be taken back to our estimating department where prices will be calculated and submitted to you in the form of a quotation. You will be able to communicate any changes or negotiations with your sales consultant. Our engineering and technical department will be available to assist your sales consultant with any custom design requests you may have.
Once you have placed you order with us, a job file will be submitted to our operations department and you will be contacted by one of our technically qualified project managers to set up an appointment for final measurements. A set of shop drawings will be produced from the final measurements in order for you to approve before commencing with manufacturing.
Your allocated project manager will ensure that your project timelines are met and that your expectations are met in terms of quality and workmanship. Steel Studio makes use of A Grade material suppliers. Together with our innovative technology, state of the art machinery and equipment, coupled with our highly skilled artisans we are able to produce a finished product that will surpass your expectations.
When the majority of the building is done. The installation of your staircase should be one of the last stages of the building process.
Like any investment, a simple cleaning routine will ensure the longevity of your staircase. Proprietary cleaners are available but routine washing with a mild detergent and clean water should suffice. For best results, clean your stainless steel staircase as routinely as you would your windows. For more stubborn marks or stains such as paint, grease, please contact your supplier for advice on the best solution.
After fabrication, stainless steel is normally finished mechanically to the required uniform surface finish. For a period of time, the surface may be prone to finger printing. During this time the alloying elements in stainless steel start forming the protective “passive layer” which is only microns thick, and reforms in the presence of oxygen. This is why stainless steel requires no coating of any sort.
In 2010, Steel Studio became a licensed partner of Ee Stairs Holland to add a superior custom designed range of spiral, helical and straight staircase designs to our current range for the South African market. Steel Studio’s quality in manufacturing and installation is guaranteed as we have selected specific professional teams in the company for this purpose. All materials used are of the same high quality as is used in Ee Stairs’ manufacturing facilities in Holland and we are proud to offer this high level of standard to the South African market. Our staircase products are for those clients who are looking for a staircase which is not only functional but also a labor of fine workmanship and design.
