In September 2010, Steel Studio International signed a licensee agreement with Ee Stairs to manufacture their World renowned range of designer staircases.

Ee Stairs recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and have to their credit, a vast repertoire of award winning staircases. We at Steel Studio International are proud to represent Ee Stairs on the African Continent and in a short space of time already have numerous successful installations to add to our portfolio.

We at Steel Studio see a staircase as more that just a means of travelling between floors in a building but rather as an expression of creativity, a piece of art, and the focal point of the building. Our staircase range includes but is not limited to helical and spiral stairs, a space saving 1m2 stair, straight staircases with single or double rectangular or round stringers with multi-laminate glass, steel or solid timber treads. Our staircases are also manufactured in mild steel or stainless steel.

Often taking inspiration from nature, staircases can mimic monolithic structures for the central stringers, to the DNA spiral stair which resembles a DNA strand as a feature of the central vertical column.

With Steel Studio's years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of balustrade systems, the progression into staircase fabrication was a natural one. Our expertise lies in interpreting the Client or Specifier's brief and assisting with practical design and detailing ensuring that the end result is a staircase of timeless quality and to the entire satisfaction of the Client.

As with every balustrade project undertaken, a consultation is the first step in understanding and appreciating the desired design. Once this is agreed, the site is surveyed and a fully detailed shopdrawing is produced for approval before the staircase is put into production. This process also ensures that the balustrade detailing is incorporated into the staircase design so as to avoid any complications later on in the construction process.
