Steel Studio International was established in 2003 as a specialist fabricator, manufacturer and installer of custom designed stainless steel and glass balustrading systems. The company’s focus on quality and service standards is what has made it a highly sought-after supplier.

The key to our success is that we are a “peoples business”. The current management team has a combined 60 years of experience in the stainless steel, financial and construction industries. This team of highly skilled and qualified individuals are all involved in every aspect of a project from: design input, client and professional liaison, material procurement, manufacture, planning and installation. Progressive learning, skills development and training programs ensure that every staff member is equipped to deliver service excellence.

Steel Studio International consists of a staff compliment of 140. . This compliment is made up of directors, senior management, junior management, a sales team, contract managers, draftsmen, artisans and skilled and semi-skilled workers.

Steel Studio International undertakes work both nationally and internationally, and is able to successfully install custom manufactured stainless steel and glass balustrading, handrails and staircases on both domestic and commercial projects.

Steel Studio International will continuously strive to develop markets in new areas of South Africa and other bordering countries.

Steel Studio International is a member of SASSDA (Southern African Stainless steel Development Association), MBA (Master Builders Association) and SAGGA (South African Glass and Glazing Association).

Our customized designs are made up of a combination of stainless steel in laser cut plate profiles, tubular components, timber elements or toughened glass. Our team’s ability to efficiently interpret the client’s specific requirements gives Steel Studio International an advantage in producing balustrading systems of unsurpassed perfection. Our attention to detail and quality coupled with the latest in design technology, manufacturing and installation equipment ensures that the end product is completed to international standards and at competitive prices.

The company undertakes projects countrywide, with the capability of doing large International commercial projects as well. To date, we have installed balustrading, handrails and staircases in Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Seychelles, Zambia and in the USA. All products are manufactured in our Johannesburg and Cape Town manufacturing facility to strict quality control procedures before being dispatched to sites countywide.

Steel Studio International works in strict accordance with the National Occupational Health and Safety Act. All installation teams are trained and equipped with regulatory personal protective equipment. A full time safety officer is employed to manage all manufacturing and installation processes. This is all done to ensure that our stainless steel balustrading as well as staircases are not only manufactured and installed at world class standards, but meet the client’s expectations in finishes and final appearance as well.
